Cambodia is experiencing one of the fastest rates of forest area loss in the world. The country’s forests and wildlife are quickly disappearing due to rapid & unplanned development and large agri-business concessions (ELCs).
There is a general rush for economic development, yet a lack of planning & concern for the country's environment and the importance of preserving Cambodia’s wildlife, habitats & biodiversity heritage.
L.E.A.F is a registered & certified non-profit community organization. Our goal is to create an impact in local wildlife and forest conservation. Our developments aims to bring conservation education to rural Cambodians & strengthen existing environmental values through traditional local believes.
We emphasize on working with vulnerable forest neighboring communities and developing sustainable livelihood.
By bringing environmental education to remote rural communities. We introduce students to various discussions: climate change, the importance or sustainable forest management, wildlife protection and other active conservation issues.
We fund our activity through visitor contributions at our eco-tourism center, as well as through donations. We receive help & professional assistance from local & overseas volunteers.

The sanctuary spreads across a beautiful protected rainforest and agro-forest areas. The sanctuary links 2 indigenous community forest areas to forms an active wildlife corridor, especially in the wet season.
The sanctuary's visitor center and wildlife treatment facility are built & developed by project visitor contributions, donations and help from both local and overseas volunteers.
